“It’s important to remember that the only chance that Nevadans have to choose their candidate for president is on January 19,” said former Nevada U.S. Congressional Representative and Hillary Clinton Supporter Jim Bilbray to a group of assembled Clinton supporters on Saturday, January 12 at the Old Logandale School.

It is this kind of information that the Hillary Clinton Campaign was trying to get out to their supporters this weekend. To send this message the campaign sent out a pair of influential

Bilbray said that there is some confusion about the upcoming caucuses. “I’ve had a lot of friends tell me that they are not going to go to their caucuses,” Bilbray said. “They say that they are going to vote for president at the Nevada primary in August. The problem is that they can’t do that because the candidates for President won’t be on the ballot in the August primary.”

The Clinton campaign also sent out their field workers to explain how the Nevada Democratic Caucuses would work. The Democratic Caucuses are much more physical than the Republican Caucuses. With the Democratic Caucuses, attendees will actually vote with their bodies,

McAuliffe explained to the audience why he felt that Clinton was the best candidate for the nation. As president, Clinton would also get the troops out of Iraq, McAuliffe said. But, he clarified, it would not be in the first 100 days as some Democratic candidates have said they would do. According to McAuliffe, it would take some time for the troops to load up all their gear and equipment and, only then would the troops be withdrawn.

Much of the attending crowd was enthusiastic about the candidate. There were a few still undecided as to who they were going to support. Some, who started out the meeting uncertain, left planning on attending their caucus meetings as Clinton supporters.
