The Northeast Region Champion Boys Team from Lyon Middle School began their season with a nail biter against top ranked Leavitt Middle School from Northwest Las Vegas last Thursday. Behind the Herculean efforts of Kyle Stanley, who scored 29 points, the Mustangs were able to defeat the Patriots in double overtime by a score of 44 to 41. The Lady Mustangs put up a valiant effort against the Lady Patriots, who just won the pre season Clark County School District tournament, in their 28 to 15 loss. The next home game for the Lyon Mustangs will be played on February 8th with the boys team playing at 3:30 and the girls team playing at 4:45. |
