For the last two weeks Clark County Parks and Recreation has held open play dodge ball at the gym in Moapa. The dodge ball tournament is held Wednesdays starting at 6 pm.
“We are inviting people in the community out to play,” said Gail Lindsay of Parks and Recreation. “If we get people interested we will see if we can start a league.”

At the Wednesday, January 30, dodge ball event in Moapa there were roughly 50 people from the upper and lower Valley in attendance. The individual games did not take long which gave everyone an opportunity to play.
The evening began with Lindsay explaining the rules of the game. Most people who attended American public schools seemed to have played the game and the explanation went on with few questions. The games began with the gymnasium’s buzzer sounding the rush to the line for people to get started.
As the teams were made up of anyone who attended and were not consistent no winning or losing team could be identified. Everyone seemed to have a fun time, got lots of exercise, and got out the weeks aggression.
