Moapa Valley Progress
In the January 9 edition of the Progress, an article ran entitled: Out ‘N’ About: Ties That Bind. This article dealt with the well-known and well-loved hobby of genealogy. The following is the continuation of that saga.
The reporter’s sister, Helen, 10 years ago entered a query on the internet for a Sarah Ann Huffman and Washington Perry Gray (Parents of our great grandmother). No information was received; however, that could be the result of a changed e-mail address.
Recently a lady from Kansas researched the internet concerning her great grandfather, John Gray. She and her mother had been looking for his genealogy for 25 years. Martha Gray married Wm. Zimmerman, father of Art Zimmerman, who was the grandfather of Helen and who was the Spanish American War Veteran mentioned in my January 9 article. Martha was the sister of John (see above).
The Kansas lady came upon the Moapa Valley Progress news article as a result of her internet search. She e-mailed them for info and also entered a search for phone numbers for a Helen Caraveo….who was mentioned in the 1/9 article. The genealogy information all checked out. Another Kissin’ Cousin is born!
