MV Riders Hold Gymkhana

	Moapa Valley Progress Moapa Valley Riders held their first gymkhana of the season on Saturday, February 16. 	and we also tried Calf Riding. We also enjoyed our regular events like Barrels, Poles, Flags and Mutton Busting.” This year the Riders have also added a Lead line Class. This class allows people of any age to participate while being lead around the courses by parents or helpers. “This helps the little kids if their just starting out,” Mayo said. “Even the older kids and adults who have never rode before.” In the February 16 gymkhana the lead line class included 16 participants: Alissa Jameson, Blake Bush, Dakotah Mayo, Devin Masuch, Emma Borg, Hannah Watson, Jade Stowell, Janai Masuch, Kacey Stowell, Oakley Scronce, Riley Fisk, Taylor Fisk, Trinity Scronce, Weston Mortenson, Wyatt Andreason and Wyatt Barlow. Over All placement of the day for the Beginners Class (ages 1-5) winners were: 1st Shelby Olson, 2nd Hannah Mayo. For Mutton busting (ages-2-8) winners were: 1st Wyatt Andreason, 2nd Bronc Barlow, 3rd Jani Masuch, and 4th Andun Pratt. For Calf Riding (ages 9-11) the winners were: 1st Gary Pratt, 2nd Wyatt Andreason, 3rd Rachel Paystrup, 4th Kaitlyn Graham, and 5th Bronc Barlow. In the Pee Wee Class (ages 6-9) the winners were: 1st Madison Bush, 2nd Dylan Kesl, 3rd Markita Allen, and 4th Madison Mortenson. In the Junior Class (ages 10-13) the winners were: 1st Alex Jones, 2nd Makenzie Bush, 3rd Bailey Kesl, 4th Rachel Paystrup, 5th Kaitlyn Graham, 6th Tyson Morten, 7th Darci Davis, and 8th Jessica Benson. In the Senior Class (ages 14-18) the winners were: 1st Kerri Gurule, 2nd Amy Allen For the Adult Class (ages 19+) winners were: Tracey Thorton (horse 1), 2nd Blackie Thorton (horse 2), 3rd Lita Evans, 4th Terry Romero, 5th Leah Bush, 6th Kasey Stowell, 7th Breyanne Rogers,,8th Patty Gurule, 9th Rhonda Graham, 10th Ed Romero, 11th Kristi Eames, 12th Anna Fanick, 13th Irene Barlow, 14th Samantha Olson, 15th Shari Allen. The Riders’ next gymkhana will be held March 8 at 9:00 am. The gymkhanas are free to the public to watch and we are always happy to have spectators.
