MV Art Guild Workshop Held
Rachel Brandes
Moapa Valley Progress

The Moapa Valley Art Guild held a workshop on Thursday, February 21. The workshop held at the Old Logandale School was instructed by local artist Max Bunnell.

Bunnell held a workshop in January with a focus on pencil drawings. On Thursday his workshop focused on perspective. Several locals attended the workshop to sharpen their artistic skills.

During the workshop Bunnell demonstrated how to use lines and shading to complete a successful drawing. Bunnell effortlessly drew several pieces of art to demonstrate his methods.

With a drawing of a barn and a scene from Zion National Park, Bunnell demonstrated how you can pick up details from something you see and put them down on paper.

The Art Guild will have additional workshops over the next several months. In March, Charlotte Lang will hold a “1,2,3, Go - Landscape” demonstrating watercolors. In April there will be a facilitation Life Study Session and in May the Plein Air Painting Day will be held.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Moapa Valley Art Guild or would like to learn more about upcoming workshops, you can contact the Art Guild by calling 397-6444.
