Overton Man Scares Children With Profanity
On Wednesday, February 27, 48 year old Terry Gettle of Overton was cited for Disorderly Conduct. Metro was called to a disturbance in Overton regarding several juveniles being scared by Gettle who was using profane language and yelling at the kids. Gettle believed these children to have been throwing rocks at his residence and proceeded to follow them screaming vulgarities. His extreme behavior caused several adults in the neighborhood to become alarmed. A follow up investigation led him to being cited for Disorderly Conduct. He is scheduled to appear in the Moapa Valley Justice Court at a later date.

Local Man Caught After 15 Years Using Fictitious Name
On Friday, February 29, a local man, Michael Gerner who was going by another name was arrested for two felony counts including Obtaining and Using Personal ID of Another to Harm and Obtaining and Using Personal ID of Another to Establish Identity. Metro conducted an investigation based on a crime report taken by the victim of California who had been the victim of identity theft for over ten years. The victim had been contacted by the IRS based on suspicious activity and proceeded to contact Metro. Gerner was known to local Metro Officers under his fictitious name due to him working in the valley for several years. He was interviewed and subsequently arrested for willfully and knowingly using the identification of another. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center and will appear in the Moapa Valley Justice Court at a later date.

Man Arrested For Driving On Revoked License
On Sunday, March 2, 44 year old William E. Collingsworth was arrested for Driving on a Revoked Drivers License and Ex-Felon Failing to Change Address. Metro observed Collingsworth driving in the Overton area and knew him to have a revoked license. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Clark County Detention Center and will appear in the Moapa Valley Justice Court at a later date.
