Lin’s shoppers that were looking for fresh beef found a choice cut right outside in the parking lot on Monday, March 14. Yep, a live bull, and not too friendly, was found in the Lin’s parking lot.
Metro police were called, who then called Animal Control Officer Shelley Logan. Three Metro vehicles and Logan with her truck kept the bull contained for nearly an hour before its capture.

The bull made its way into the dirt lot off of Lewis Street where the foursome kept it contained for a good part of the time. Local Cowboy Justin Barlow soon arrived on the scene with a horse and trailer hoping to assist the officers.
Upon Barlow’s arrival, the bull seemed to become more aggressive and charged towards the trailer. Nonetheless, Barlow made it onto his horse and a chase began. The bull ran across the field, jumped a ditch and started running down Lewis Street. It then made its way into another field on the other side of Lewis.
By this time, many locals from the Senior Center and Robbins Nest were out watching the chase.
Officer Logan and Metro continued to follow to help contain the animal as Barlow closed in on the animal. Barlow was able to quickly rope the bull and end the chase. The trailer was brought to the bull and the efforts of loading the beast began.
It didn’t take long as Metro and Barlow loaded the animal into the trailer and restored safety to the Overton residential area in which the chase took place.
As of Monday afternoon, Officer Logan was still uncertain whose bull they have captured.
