The Moapa Valley High School (MVHS) Culinary & Management teams presented their beautiful State ProStart Competition trophies to their sponsor and benefactor Scott Carson of Tiffany’s Pies last week.

“Scott and his business have been a huge support and help with our program over the last few years,” said ProStart Coach Mary Bullock. “His donations at the end of last year have carried our program this year, and made it possible for us to really compete.”

The teams competed in the State ProStart Culinary Competition last month in Las Vegas, where they did extremely well. The Culinary Team took first place, which qualifies them for the National competition in April.

Carson, who did not wish to be pictured said, “I don’t do this for the recognition, I do it for the program. Those kids who go work hard and win, they are the reason I do this.” The trophies will be on display at the Tiffany’s Sub Shop in Logandale.
