Curves/Avon Partner On Women’s Fitness Study
Moapa Valley Progress

With over four million members worldwide, most would think the Curves women’s fitness franchise has nothing to prove. But the company is going above and beyond and looking for participants in the Moapa Valley to be a part of the Curves/Avon Fitness Study to ensure that everyone knows the power of the Curves workout program.

For $30, participants will be asked to complete 12 workouts over a 30-day period with a minimum of three workouts per week. In addition, participants will receive a start and finish fitness evaluation, 30 days free on CurvesComplete.com, an online diet and fitness solution, and supervised training from a Curves trainer.

“With so many fitness membership choices, it’s imperative that we demonstrate how serious we are about weight loss and an active lifestyle,” said local Curves owner Deborah Mabry. “This study allows us to further differentiate ourselves from the competitors.”

The Avon company is also partnering in this effort. “Avon, a company that is so compassionate about women, is the perfect partner for this initiative,” Mabry said. “Local residents are encouraged to be a part of this study. What is there to lose, except a few pounds?”

The Exercise and Sports Nutrition Laboratory at Baylor University will be evaluating the research that is gathered in the fitness clubs and analyzing the results, which will then be published in various journals.

For more information on the Curves/Avon Fitness Study, please contact Deborah Mabry at 702-397-6966, or visit the local Curves at 263 S. Moapa Valley Boulevard.
