What happened to the "Youth" in Youth Sports

Recently I've observed a trend that seems to have taken over the Valley. It has really made me sit and think awhile about the emphasis we put on youth sports.
I have volunteered my time over the past five years as a soccer coach for our elementary age kids. I love it. I love to watch the kids play with one another and learn what it is to win and also to lose. I've watched my first grader play her heart out and lose a game..
