Lin's Marketplace held a Super Bowl Pre-game Party on Saturday, January 30. Event Coordinator Carol Jolley has been planning the event for weeks. "We wanted every department involved with ways to show customers how Lin's can help plan their own Super Bowl party," she stated.
Inside the store, there was plenty of food to be sampled, from BBQ ribs and 7-Layer Dip, to chips and salsa.
Rebecca, Gordon, and Joseph Muhlestein participate in a chili-eating contest.
The bakery provided free cookies in Super Bowl team colors to the first 200 patrons.
There were also activities for the kids. A cakewalk was held where, not only did you have to land on the Super Bowl logo taped to the floor, you had to answer a trivia question to win the cake. In the parking lot, people could participate in a chili-eating contest, a long-distance football throw, or throw a football through a tire.
Each person that participated in a game got a raffle ticket for an xBox 360 gaming system. On Saturday, February 6, Jolley will draw the winning ticket and notify the winner.
