Ronald James Szelestey, age 63, passed away at his home, Sunday, January 17, 2010. He was born March 15, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Louis Fredrick and Norma Elsie Henderson Szelestey. On July 27, 1968 he married Kathy Lou Baxter in Venice CA. They had two children and were later divorced. On September 12, 1989 he married Anita Louise Johnston, in Las Vegas, NV and soon after adopted her son. They were later divorced.
Ron grew up in Venice, CA. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He raised his family in Hawthorne, CA and later in Atwater, CA. In 1987 he moved to Moapa Valley where he met Anita. He was industrious and skilled in Fiberglass Repair and Wood Working. He enjoyed fishing, camping and tinkering.
